EXP3-THE 18 SKETCH PERSPECTIVES

ONE POINT PERSPECTIVE SKETCHS

EXP3-THE MASHUP

MASHUP

Nature is by far the richest source of inspiration and knowledge that architects have. Cutting edge “biomimetic” (drawing on nature in design) architecture is even incorporating living matter into its structures. Area for exchange and movement, bringing the greenery of the surrounding gardens onto the buildings. The features of architecture can be blur between architecture and landscape. To built with urbanization, accelerating climate change and the need for preservation of tropical biodiversity. The use of vertical eco-systems will take advantage of the challenges facing tropical environment.  The living of architecture achieve the sustainable life for both the people and city by these buildings feature such as porous façades, airy pathways, and communal gardens, which hinting at an “utopian urban future” that is already taking shape. These green terraces help to reduce the urban heat island effect and air pollution, while also shading the fully glazed façades of the building, which balances the desire for maximum daylight with the energy performance requirements of a high-performance building envelope. So the building was really seen as a sort of biotechnological creature, rather than a traditional building, an inert building.

EXP 2: The Space Between- Final Submission

Previous Tasks:

THE 18 SKETCH AXONOMETRICS:

3 PARALLEL PROJECTIONS:

THE 36 CUSTOM TEXTURES:

THE TWO CONCEPTS:

  • Peter Eiseman-Intersecting Planes and Created Spaces(used to situate the light-rail stop within its urban environment)
From the House Ⅵ that Peter Eiseman designed before, there is a strong concept of create spaces by a lots of intersected planes. The different direction planes may separate the space for the functional utilisation. I am inspired from his concept to use the intersecting plane for separation of the Anzac Parade with the various transport area. There is exist a large flow population as a result of the surrounded environment. Hence the separator can divide it into different space (i.e.the way for cars and buses and light rail)

  • Aldo Van Eyck-Amalgamation of Repetition (used to address the sustainability with the light-rail station design)

Aldo Van Eyck use the concept of amalgamation of repetition, which play the repetition of simple elements and the architecture designed for centrifugal configurations. Thus my design follow this concept is main focus on the theme that maintain the sustainability. The light building material instead of the heavy materials such as brick and cement so that  avoid the impacts to the urban environment. Also, simple repetition structure and centrifugal configurations design economise the material usage in order to achieve the sustainability in urban living.

ELECTROLIQUID AMALGAMATION

“Why still speak of the real and the virtual, the material and immaterial? Here these categories are not in opposition, or in some metaphysical disagreement, but more in an electroliquid aggregation, enforcing each other, as in a two part adhesive.”'

THE IMAGE CAPTURES AND ARCHITECTURE:

IMAGE 1

This image show the red large shelter that make use of the light materials combined with glass, also follow the concept which form the spaces by intersecting planes and have a connect with the other parts.

IMAGE 2

The direction of long cylindraceous shelter can be seen as a path from the light-rail station to the campus.

IMAGE 3

The aerial perspective view can show the combination between two concepts and shadow from the structure.

IMAGE 4

These three images emphasis on the interior view that from upper floor is two long rectangular intersect that used as a resting place for the students and people who are waiting for the light rail.  The all glass design take a clear view to the landscape and rail direction. The material of architecture also achieve the theme sustainability that use the light building materials such as plastic instead of the heavy concrete.

This is the ground floor view with two light-rail way with small seating space.
